Smart Phone = Shopping Phone

Retailer have definitely lost control of the shopping experience. We now use brick and mortar to check out an item and while we’re in the store, we use our smart phones to find the best price and buy.

Retailers had better get their channel strategies ironed out to eliminate the pricing differential between physical store and e-commerce or they will continually drive business away. I was in Wal-Mart service line after Christmas, sending some money to one of my kids,  and ahead of me was Joe Sixpack trying to get  a price adjustment on an Xbox 360 Elite system he had purchased in the store because he found it at Wal-Mart.com for about $60 less. No matter how much he protested that it was the same item and they were obviously the same company, they would not give him the adjustment.

Frankly, I do not understand the policy of irritating shoppers like this.
