My top picks of the night:

  • Snickers Betty White
  • Most of the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl ads were pretty creative (and crowd sourced)
  • Bridgestone “whale”
  • Alice in Wonderland, which looks like a visual tour de force
  • truTV Punxsutawny Polamalu
  •, pretty funny and great benefit line at the end
  • The Census pre-production meeting
  • Google, simple and perfect demonstration of the benefit (also had to be the cheapest production budget)
  • Vizio Forge…brilliant production values and total coolness

Worst Ads of the Night

  • Career Builder and Dockers: for worst use of tighty whities
  • Dove for Men: For Worst use of a male bodily fluid (a.k.a. sperm) in an ad…ever!
  • The Census: For biggest waste of taxpayer money
  • GoDaddy: Most consistent, blatant use of sleazy sex
  • Google: Most ironic use of traditional media by a new media company that disparages traditional media
  • Audi: Best Use of Future Possible Real, Big Government Oppression in an ad
  • Emerald Nuts/Pop Secret: Best use of a big budget to produce a totally pointless ad
